Religious Conservatives Crying over Gay Marriage – “Who Cares?”

“As the world reacts to the news that the Supreme Court has completely struck down the Defense Of Marriage Act, perhaps no two reactions encapsulate the direction in which the debate on marriage equality is headed. Ultra-conservative Congresswoman Michele Bachmann released a statement on the ruling:

“No man, not even a Supreme Court, can undo what a holy God has instituted,” Ms. Bachmann said in a statement. “For thousands of years of recorded human history, no society has defended the legal standard of marriage as anything other than between man and woman.”*

Gay marriage is now legal, which means the ultra-religious are expressing their supreme indignation that gay people would be allowed to marry. “Society cannot continue!” cried Rep. Tim Wahlberg. “Jesus Wept,” lamented Mike Huckabee. Michelle Backmann crazied-out as per usual. Does it matter? Nancy Pelosi has the best answer, as John Iadarola discusses.

being gay is a sin right? so is having sex before marriage. Why don’t
Christians consider that? I am muslim, but I am with the atheists on this
    topic.

This is hilarious to watch I’ve you’re from The Netherlands. Hilarious and
baffling to see how backwards America still is on this topic. We legalised
gay marriage over a decade ago, and our society didn’t crumble. Wake up
    America and smell 2014…

What most people including the YT don’t understand is that all of this is
dealing with a much larger issue. The first beast of Revelation 13 is the
Catholic Church. The second beast of Revelation 13 is mainstream protestant
America. It is prophesied that the protestants of America will convince
legislators to enforce mandatory Sunday observance in order to get our
nation back to God. The gay marriage issue is likely to be the straw to
break the camel’s back. The problem with this is that Sunday sacredness is
a creation of the Papacy and is not God’s true rest day. Satan is using
world powers to bring pressure on God’s true followers “which keep the
commandments of God” (Rev 14:12) Jesus warned us that the last days would
be like Sodom and Gomorrah. We are witnessing the final events in our world
just prior to the image of the beast enforcing the mark. All SDA’s be
ready. God has a work for you now.

Lots of angry little bigots here throwing temper tantrums because the US is
finally moving into the 21st century. O well, what did I expect…
:-S Seems to me conservatives and bible bashers really spend way too much
time thinking about gay people and what they do in the privacy of their
homes. Live and let live people, it’s 2014, move on.
