Palm Springs International Film Festival to Screen LGBT G Films

Palm Springs, Calif. – December 30, 2009 Palm Springs rolls out the red carpet next week, January 5-18, 2010, for the 21st Palm Springs International Film Festival. More than 200 films will be screened during the festival, including 19 gay and lesbian films, six of which will be World and U.S. premieres.

Palm Springs is a burgeoning film festival destination and will host several premier film festivals in 2010. Featured film festivals include the Palm Springs International ShortFest, Festival of Native Film & Culture, and Cinema Diverse Gay & Lesbian Film Festival.

The Palm Springs International Film Festival is scheduled from January 5-18, 2010. Founded in 1990 by then Mayor Sonny Bono, and presented by the Palm Springs International Film Society, the PSIFF is one of the largest film festivals in North America. The Festival also features cultural events, filmmaker tributes, industry seminars and an annual black-tie gala award presentation.
